Research sheets and trading plans

Your research workbook (stock, index, manual and fundamental research) and the compounding trading plan, with the same layout and formulas as the sheet.

Research

Open Research. The four tabs are the sheets of the research workbook: STOCK RESEARCH, INDEX RESEARCH, MANUAL RESEARCH and FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH. Each one has the same layout, colours and formulas as the Google Sheet, cell for cell.

  • Dashed cells are inputs. These are the cells the sheet fills from Google Finance (open, high, low, close, LTP, volume, 52-week high and low) and the symbol. Type over any of them and every level recalculates.
  • Fill live prices fills every Google Finance cell:
    • From your live feed: LTP, today's open, high and low, the previous close, and the Market Trend rows.
    • From your own broker's history (Zerodha, Dhan or Upstox): the previous day's open, high, low and close; the 52-week high and low; and the monthly, yearly and positional candles. These are worked out with the same dates the sheet's formulas use. Angel One does not publish a history API, so Angel One users type those cells.
  • If a date in the sheet's formulas has no candle (for example "yesterday" on a Monday), that cell is left as it was and named in the message.
  • What you type is remembered on this device for each sheet. Reset to sheet values puts back the sheet's own numbers.
  • The Market Trend rows start empty, so an old price never looks current.

Each block shows the pivot P = (High + Low + Close) ÷ 3 and the levels the sheet calculates from it with 0.383, 0.618 and 1 × the range (High − Low), plus 0.618 × range beyond those. The Stock and Index sheets' intraday first row uses 0.0383, exactly as in the sheet; the Manual sheet's outer levels are P ± 1.236 × range.

When the platform's SEBI Research Analyst registration is set up, the sheets show the full wording (buy and sell levels, targets, stop-loss and signals), with the registration and disclosures under every sheet. Otherwise the same numbers are shown with neutral wording.

The Manual research trade levels page on the website has the MANUAL RESEARCH sheet for anyone to use with typed prices.

Trading plans

Open Trading plans and create a plan. It shows the STOCK MARKET INVESTMENT TREDAING PLAN sheet, with month blocks of 20 rows for up to 62 months, then the TOTAL row.

  • In month 1, type your opening investment, monthly target % (0.15 = 15%) and service charge.
  • On each row, type the symbol, buy price, sell price and date. Leave quantity empty to use opening ÷ buy price, as the sheet does, or type a quantity.
  • Buy value = buy price × quantity. Sell value = sell price × quantity. Profit / loss = sell value − buy value.
  • Opening investment is the month's opening on every row. Closing investment adds each row's profit or loss.
  • MONTH INCO is the month's total profit or loss. The next month opens at opening + MONTH INCO, and the header also shows that amount after the previous month's service charge.
  • Target: the month's opening target × target % (₹10,000 at 15% → ₹11,500 → ₹13,225 → ₹15,208.75 …).
  • Service charge: goes up by the target % in months 6, 13, 19, 25, 37, 43, 49, 55 and 61, as in the sheet. The header shows the charges to date.

The target is your own number, not a forecast or a promise of returns. Plans are private to your account; you can keep up to 10.
